Explore the hidden valleys of Nar and Phu on a 12-day trek through ancient Tibetan culture, remote villages, high mountain passes, and breathtaking Himalayan views.
The 12-Day Nar Phu Valley Trek takes you deep into one of Nepal’s most secluded Himalayan regions, tucked between the popular Annapurna and Manaslu trekking routes. This remarkable journey uncovers two distinct valleys — Nar and Phu — known for their untouched Tibetan heritage, centuries-old monasteries, dramatic landscapes, and peaceful nomadic settlements.
Opened to trekkers only in 2003, Nar Phu Valley remains one of Nepal’s least crowded trekking regions, making it perfect for travelers looking for raw, authentic Himalayan adventure away from commercial trails.
The trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Koto and gradually transitions into rugged highland terrain. You will explore the medieval-like stone villages of Phu and Nar, witness ancient Buddhist rituals, interact with locals, and trek through breathtaking gorges, narrow canyons, high pastures, and glacial valleys.
The ultimate highlight of the journey is the Kang La Pass (5,326m), which offers unforgettable, panoramic views of the Annapurna massif and surrounding peaks.
This trek is ideal for adventurous trekkers seeking culture, remoteness, high mountain passes, and a deeper connection with Himalayan life.
